Rwandans in Canada have gathered together to mark the 30th commemoration of Genocide against the Tutsi 1994 in Rwanda.
The event took place yesterday on April 17 at Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
Former Alberta justice minister, Kaycee Madu who was among the attendees and showed his interest in attending the event.
“Joined Speaker Cooper with esteemed speakers, community members, and survivors, we remembered, united, and renewed our commitment to never forget this tragedy,” he wrote on X.
“Thank you to the organizers and survivors for their resilience and hope. Let us always have the courage to speak out against and meaningfully confront hate, racism, and genocide wherever it may arise in the world.”
