President Paul Kagame, who is in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a special World Economic Forum meeting, met with Kristalina Georgieva, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The Rwanda Presidency, Village Urugwiro, stated that their discussion was on the fruitful collaboration between Rwanda and the IMF.
Rwanda is the first African country to benefit from the Resilience and Sustainability Trust, which is currently funding key climate change initiatives.
This morning in Riyadh, President Kagame is participating in the World Economic Forum Special Meeting 2024 panel discussion themed “A New Vision for Global Development.”
President Paul Kagame is alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia, Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the IMF, and Peter Orszag, CEO of Lazard Group. The panel will be moderated by Børge Brende, World Economic Forum President.
