Letter to South Africa regarding the support to DRC

Voice of Kivu has written letter to H.E President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa regarding his congratulations to Félix Tshisekedi after he wins the elections and his support to him.Â

It’s been few days after Félix Tshisekedi being re-elected as president of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). President of South Africa has congratulated him and the forces from South Africa has been deployed to DRC to support Félix Tshisekedi.Â

In the open letter from Voice of Kivu to Ramaphosa, included that the main cause of conflicts in DRC is discrimination, and injustice faced by the Kinyarwanda speaking population. “This is the root cause of the conflict and unless it is dealt with, no army or forces will be able to solve this issue” was added.Â

The letter continues reminding Ramaphosa that it won’t be the first time South Africa involved in the conflict but nothing has changed as the root cause wasn’t dealt with.Â

On the post on X formerly Twitter, Voice of Kivu attached the video containing statements made by leaders like Julius Nyerere, Nelson Mandela, and Thabo Mbeki, who were there when these issues arose in the first place, underscoring the significance of addressing these injustices.

Voice of Kivu requested Ramaphosa to prompt attention to the situation , including conducting an informed and impartial investigation into the situation in Eastern DRC to avoid any trap.Â

In conclusion, Voice of Kivu written, “By demonstrating your (Ramaphosa) commitment to justice, you (Ramaphosa) will not only honor the legacies of Nyerere, Mandela, and Mbeki but also inspire future generations to champion social justice.”Â

The instability in the East of DRC as well as conflicts with Rwanda is rising everyday, hence creating insecurities in the whole East of Africa.Â

South Africa isn’t the first country to be involved in this but also other countries like Angola, Kenya, USA, and France have been involved but no good results yet.
