Crown Resorts owned by American investment firm Blackstone is cutting about 1000 jobs across its casinos in Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth in a solid restructure.
The company employs about 20,000 people across the cities but the move will left it losing 5% of its workforce with Melbourne to be more affected, according to 9News.
Chief executive Ciaran Carruthers said the restructuring was due to softer economic conditions and gambling restrictions.
This comes after recently Crown granted full casino licenses in Melbourne and Sydney after near three years of intensive remediation.
