The Mayor of Kigali City, Samuel Dusengiyumva, has revealed that there is a plan to plant at least 4 million trees in different parts of Kigali in the next two years.
Mayor Dusengiyumva, speaking to Radio Rwanda, revealed that Kigali City has a plan to manage cleanliness in every place and plant gardens in many regions.
“The things about the cleanliness of houses, painting everywhere, gardens, and planting trees, are what we need to put more effort into,” Mayor Dusengiyumva said.
Kigali City has surpassed other cities in Africa in terms of cleanliness, due to hygiene and clean strategies and policies that have been implemented, such as collecting all waste and planting many trees in the city.
